Trusting in God Through the Valley of Death

Emily Peters grew up in small town USA, in southwestern Ohio. After college, her love for business brought her to Omaha, NE working in corporate America. A few years later, she would come to understand the need for Jesus and the power of God’s word to a deeper degree than she ever thought imaginable; Emily lost her husband and two of their best friends in a horrific car accident. The days and months to follow, were the most painful days of her life.

Keeping a Smile During the Darkness of ALS

Chelsea and her husband Brian, a US Marine, were the proud parents of 3 children ranging in age from 4 months to 3 years. A career in the military was the plan but in 2008 Chelsea’s dad was diagnosed with ALS. Chelsea and Brian made the choice to leave military service, return to Omaha and assist her family with caring for her father. Chelsea and her family moved into her parents house and the family was blessed to be able to spend the next 10 years caring for and loving her dad. Their story is a testament to what true love and sacrifice is all about. The experience shaped the lives of their family and they are forever grateful for the experiences they were able to be a part of.
